The site of the bed, our bedclothes, and the experience of sleep reveal layers of materiality and consciousness. The liminal resting body acts as a portal or mirror into an intermediary state, a flexible place, a condition like that of water, and that of the innate sensual movement in cloth. This fluidity expresses memories and awareness of experiences of comfort, intimacy, rest and pleasure.
